Amma Haven Trips

We are putting together a series of trips to start our Amma Haven project in Ghana, West Africa. These trips will involve researching site locations and meeting with Village Chiefs, Government, University students and locals to determine the best placement for Amma Haven. Participants will be spending 2 weeks in Ghana.

Project Participants will be provided:
  • An audio guide to the Twi language
  • A culture guide to Ghana
  • Forms required to obtain visitors visa
  • Group fundraising opportunities
  • Mosquito Nets
  • Internet and Cell Phone access while in Ghana
  • Accommodations and Meals (included in fundraising costs)
Project Participants will be required to:
  • Have a fundraising goal of $1600 for accommodations and contribution to the project*
  • Pay a $200 non refundable deposit
  • Pay for their round trip airfare to Ghana
  • Ensure all vaccinations are up to date (Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination will be required)
  • Have travel insurance that covers the entire duration of the trip
  • Hold a valid passport
  • Attend team/fundraising meetings before the trip (In our Downtown Edmonton Office)
*The majority of the fundraising will be done through group fundraising efforts. The goal is that each person will average around $1600.
